This is a very entertaining book, chock full of interesting little tidbits and insights for the fledgling baseball fan. Contrary to the title, the books serves more as a beginner's guide to baseball rather than anything substantial for a long-time fan (the glossary at the end of the book and the section on pitches is worth the price of admission alone). As any student of the game will tell you, baseball's a game with a million facets and this book merely scratches the surface. That all said, pretty much any baseball fan can pick up a thing or two from the book and it's very much worth checking out.
